    Hi all,

As you can see in one of the previous posts ...( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=2439927#post2439927)

... some of the 8510p versions come with an ATI Mobility Radeon X2600 graphic card, and others come with an ATI Mobility Radeon X2600 HD graphic card

Since this is probably no mistake (because on their site HP has this exact specs for this different flavors, and usually this is not an innocent forget), can any of you tell me what is the difference between this 2 cards? (HD and Non HD)

I've been searching even in ATI site but they don't make any reference to the Non HD version

    Thanx

    I said what I said....

You can find many mistakes on the HP site... nothing new just the usual mess...

It's just a mistak because the last generation was called Radeon X rather than HD.

Some websites still show Geforce Go 8600 for exemple

Yeah, they're the same like the others have said. I've heard quite a few websites erroneously refer to the new 2000 series as X2000 etc...

Of course, to be quite honest I don't really know why they dropped the X...it's been around forever. Oh well :p

Anything with the 'HD' reference is going to be a DX10 card.

But just FYI, the specifications for the 8510p clearly indicate that ALL models of the notebook with have the ATI HD 2600 GPU. You won't have to worry about it.

The last dying twitch of this thread.. tho a bit off topic.

Greg, you have the 8710p I see.. I decided on that over the 8510, mainly for the superior GPU. My question tho is about the LCD - I found a lot of light leakage on the 8710p which made me balk.. can I ask how is yours? Are they all a bit leaky around the edges?
