    8510p screen brightness resets after screensaver

    Hi --
    Has anyone seen something like this? My new 8510p display's backlight brightness level always resets to maximum after turning on, going to sleep -- or even just when the screensaver comes on. Not a big deal, but I keep having to reset the level and it does get to be a bit of pain ... Thanks!

    hmm this depends on what mode you set your pc on when you shut it off. Did you make this change in "advanced settings"? You can to set it to whatever level you want in there first. If that doesnt work report back!

    Acorn is correct. The brightness will reset to whatever it's set to in your power profile whenever you reset/hibernate/screensaver/etc...

    So you have to go in there and change it :p

    Hi guys, I also have this problem of my 8510p not remembering what the LCD brightness is when it comes out of screen saver. Could you clarify where this brightness setting is? I've gone into Control Panel -> Power Options but as I thought there's nothing there related to screen brightness. I'm using XP SP2. Where's the setting I need to set?
