    I know people have been talking about this since the card came out and im sure there's post on here somewhere about it but im feeling lazy so im posting a new one...

    Is there a newer 8600m GS driver than 7.15.11.129 (released on 5/14/2007)
    I cant find one

    is this update crucial? (what differences does it make)....i got my replacement yesterday with the 8600m gs card so i guess im already behind on drivers eh

    Hi

    I got my dv6500t. When i try to install Civ 4 setup, it doesnt start the installation itself. I tried running in xp2 compatability mode, installed dx9 and tried. Is there any way i can install the game.

    Since my Fingerprint reader is not working, i'm anyway going to return and get a new piece. But, i was wondering from your reply, did they accepted 8600M GS for your dv6500t notebook. I think it's avl only for dv9500t model only.

    I installed this too and tried. Still not able to install Civ 4. Actually when i click setup, a command promt comes and goes immediatly. I went and saw the issue, it said, compatability issue. No more info.

    Are there any drivers for XP with this card? Vista is just too bloated and slow.

    I got the dv6500t replaced with dv9500t today. Let me see if Cv 4 is inatalling in this 8600 GS card / not. Rest of the config are same.

    128 mb download?

    I wonder why this is 4x the size of the driver downloads from the NVidia website (which do not seem to work for the mobile version of the 8600 card)???

    all the games old / new are working now with my replaced 9500t which has 8600M GS card

    I just got done online chatting with HP tech support. they're going to work on getting better drivers for their laptop gpus. the tech rep told me they'd mail me the download details once its ready.
