    Hi guys,

I just got a HP 8710W and noticed that the screen is quite dim. I have to put it at full brightness to really be comfortable viewing it. Is this normal for the LGD3A01 screen? Also, the two lower corners are somewhat darker. Is this also normal?

Thanks a lot for any help, guys. I really appreciate it.

My screen is too bright... I really do not need more than 50%. I think there's something wrong with yours, the brightness should be uniform across the screen, and actually the bottom of the display should be a tad brighter than the rest as that's where the backlight lamp resides.

I think there's something wrong with your backlight, you should send the notebook back for a replacement.
