    I'm close to ordering a laptop for engineering use and I'm considering the 8710w with the WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) anti-glare screen.

If you own one of these, could you comment on what your impressions are? Brightness, color, clarity, likes, dislikes etc.?

    Thank you!

    Bump :)

I heard the WVA screens are superior, but apart from the review here for the 1920x1200 version, I couldn't find much else. I'm looking to buy this laptop or the Lenovo T61p.

hmm why the 8710w? Its is in a diff class from the T61p which is more in line with the 8510w ( same screen size and vid card)

So true, but I think I'm just basing it on the "maxing-out-my-budget-philosophy" than on specs & stuff.
