About to buy the 8710w, but I have not been able to conclude if the PCMCIA type slot is CardBus or ExpressCard.

Someone here with a 8710w who can check this? Thanks!

In HP's QuickSpecs, it says PC CardBus.
I'm kind of bummed out myself. I was hoping to get ExpressCard accessories for UDMA CF cards and SDHC cards from Delkin.

I am pretty sure I have seen the 8710p (or maybe 8510) stated with Express, that is why I am asking.

No-one with a 8710w or p here, which can for sure tell what kind it is?

You can get the Express if you buy the HP dock with the laptop (around $229 regular price - maybe there is a coupon?). Here are the details:

" HP Advanced Docking Station with Smart Adapter
Robust desktop replacement solution for your mobile office with advanced features for future expansion.
    • Easy docking system provides port replication and cable management, plus expandability through an integrated MultiBay II expansion bay and ExpressCard slot - all in one product.
    • Six USB ports allow you to connect more peripherals to make you more productive.
    • Optional integrated HP/Kensington Cable Lock allows you to secure your docking station, notebook and integrated MultiBay II drive with one lock."
