I have no problems with my 8730w and I think the 8530w runs much hotter (louder), so I will keep my 8730w ;)

i can get one for a great deal 930 euro, but i have to be sure before i buy it
because i need to change the screen, the resolution is 1920x1200 and its to high, there nothing wrong with my eyes but everything is to small for me
Can i just buy an universal screen and mount is into the cover?

I don't know, chainging screen is only for experts of course. I know there are different resolutions available from HP and HP uses different manufactures so it may work.

I was working 3 years with 15 inch 1920x1200 and now with 17 inch 1920x1200 which is of course much better but would never use lower resolution, you get a big working space with the WUXGA resolution which is more important, if you ask me, than some small fonts... :)

    but of course, your decision...

I can tell for T9600 (2 x 2,8) and Quadro FX 2700M. It is very good, in my opinion. Normally, the processor heat is below 50 degree Celsius and the fan is almost not audible (hard disk is louder). Over 50 degree Celsius the fan runs higher but still not that annoying. All depends on the room temperature, too, of course and what you are doing ;)

Gaming increases heat of course, but I personally never found it too much...

Compared to my nw8240 (very old predecessor of the 8530w) it is very silent (and faster of course ;) )

But with a Q9000 or QX9300 and the Quadro FX 3700M all could be a little different.

It looks good. maybe i buy the model with 2,4 cpu/firegl 5725 and the 1440x900 display, the graphic is only 256mb but i think ist okey for Solidworks/Pro engineer
Do you know where i can find a test of this model or just the firegl 5725?
