Does anyone know or can confirm if any hp laptops(specifically 17inch ones) that will house the new 8800M or will they just stuck with the 8600M till next generation cards?

I would guess that they would avoid it, because of the high cost (about $800 per card) and the sheer bulk required to house it. If you take a look at other notebooks sporting this card, they all are thicker than most offerings.

Dang this sucks, I like the sleek look of HP, but I forgot that the laptop would need to be thick in order to house one of these cards.

They operate seperately however, you dont see voodoo laptops on hp.com Therefore I was hoping hp will make a laptop so I can buy at Best Buy or something like that

If not the 8800 I wish they had a High end mid ranged card like the 8700GT or the ATI radeon 2600XT.

Dunno. The 8600m GT, ain't half bad. It manages. Now... don't even get me started on the GS. That thing doesn't deserve to be called mid-end. Now sure, about what i sees in the 8600m GT is what i think the lowish end of mid should have been this gen... but ah well.

But yeah! HD2600XT would be nice to see in something... not massive.

I think the HD2600Xt is perfect or one of those highend 3 series.
