I just bout a dv9930us from Circuit City on Saturday. Since then I've been in blue screen hell and I want to know why it keeps happening. I had a zv6000 for 3 years and this never happened with it.
Any ideas? Am I going to have to return it?

Blue Screens - BSOD ??
Check if there is a Minidump folder in the Windows directory.... -
What does the BSOD say is going wrong?
-
It does...what's BSOD?
-
BSOD = Blue Screen Of Death
-
-
How many minidumps are there, and do the dates look similar to when you had those crashes ?? -
-
Ok, can you zip them and upload them here, or on rapidshare/mediafire etc and provide the download link. I'll try to debug them and find out the cause, hopefully
-
How do I do that? I've never done it.
-
Ok, compress each minidump into a ZIP file using winrar/winzip/windows built-in compresser and upload each as an attachment.
-
It says that it can't open the file
-
You cannot open the minidump. Upload the latest minidump here and post the download link.
-
It says I don't have permission, which is weird because I am the system administrator. what settings do I need to change to make it stop telling me that?
-
If a new laptop BSOD's you return it.
-
-
BSOD's are normally caused due to bad memory or driver faults. If the cause is a driver, it is very easy to fix....
-
-
is there a way to get my computer to check which drives need to be updated? or do I have to do it manually?
-
Software (not free, not worth), best to check manually. (No luck uploading the minidumps ?)

I updated the drivers and now my headphones and speakers aren't working
-
my audio jack isn't working...If I plug my headphones in, sound still comes out of the speakers.
-
nevermind...I fixed it. Scared myself for a minute there.
9 blue screens since Saturday on brand new laptop...What's wrong?!
