I just bout a dv9930us from Circuit City on Saturday. Since then I've been in blue screen hell and I want to know why it keeps happening. I had a zv6000 for 3 years and this never happened with it.

Any ideas? Am I going to have to return it?

There is a Minidump folder ??
How many minidumps are there, and do the dates look similar to when you had those crashes ??

Ok, can you zip them and upload them here, or on rapidshare/mediafire etc and provide the download link. I'll try to debug them and find out the cause, hopefully

Ok, compress each minidump into a ZIP file using winrar/winzip/windows built-in compresser and upload each as an attachment.

You cannot open the minidump. Upload the latest minidump here and post the download link.

It says I don't have permission, which is weird because I am the system administrator. what settings do I need to change to make it stop telling me that?

BSOD's are normally caused due to bad memory or driver faults. If the cause is a driver, it is very easy to fix....

Software (not free, not worth), best to check manually. (No luck uploading the minidumps ?)

Nope, no success with the minidumps. I'm going to do driver updates and if I have any more problems I'll just take it to my school's IT center. They give free HP support.
