My two Presario laptops both have full-featured 945gm motherboards (HP part number 417036-001).

Does this mean that they don't have the dreaded, overheating, Nvidia GPU's?
Does "945gm" denote the actual GPU chip?

Also, when I open one of them up to upgrade the cpu and clean the fan & vents, should I install a copper shim on the cpu and/or gpu, or not?

    Thanks--
