Has there been anything official or by a reviewer that confirms ddr3 is on the 9600m GT they're offering and will HP offer WUGXA on the new DV series?

havent read any reviews as yet, although they should be here any day.

what i can tell you is i have had my hands on one, and can confirm that the one i was looking at had a 9600GT in there, although i couldnt get the chance to see if it was DDR3.

    :)

It's nice to hear that they are finally putting in the GT model graphics cards in their laptops. I guess they finally heard all of us complaining about that crap video cards they've been offering on their personal laptop line.

I believe it's gddr2 because i did a little researching and the 3d marks score nicks the border of the 4000 mark. According to notebookcheck.net, they state that the 4000 benchmark is gddr2. The gddr3 version nicks the 5000 margin in 3d mark 06.

BTW, I researched so many notebooks so far just because I want to buy one in my price range. TOO POOR TO AFFORD A MIDRANGE :(

Sadly I'm getting that impression too by the same research. And it's such a huge difference too. :(

I wrote them to double check but haven't received a reply.
