    I just ordered one online and I ordered it with two 640GB drives. I chose the i7-2820QM processor.

    First question - do they ship with a RAID 0 configuration?

    Second question - are the current models SATAlll compatible?

    BTW...my bad..not just a question, but two.

    Yes to shipping in RAID 0 and Yes to SATA III...The Envy 17 and Envy 17 3D both have the HM67 chipset...which is SATA III

    Sad to see that HP ships drives that have been discontinued by the manufacturer (640GB Samsung HDDs)!!

    They ship with a MBoard with SATA3 compatability...yet use outdated HDDs!

    IF you charge premium prices.. use PREMIUM hardware!!! :mad:
