Every since i first booted up my notebook i've noticed it never shows the time remaining while on battery(which i'm able to guess pretty accurately after using it for awhile now). I have several co-workers though who have Vista and they don't have the issue. Is this HP specific? Is it a bios issue? Is it a Vista issue? I have vista ultimate 32 bit. Has anyone else noticed this before? I tried to do a search but could not see any other threads... TIA

My brother has a DV2412CA, his time remaining on battery doesn't work either. But it the only program that half works is RMCLock. If you click on battery info, it doesn't show you the time left, but if you click on the battery device it show it.
A different question about battery on x500 series....
