Looking at the dv4tSE on the HP site, I am a bit confused.

Going to the gallery page, I see the notebook with a fingerprint reader. However, I noticed that the specifications only say "Webcam Only (Intensity)." Does this mean the gallery pictures is wrong, or does the notebook actually come with a fingerprint reader?

Nonetheless, it's a good deal, and I plan on buying it the moment 30% off coupons (or anything as good in May) is released. Thanks.

yes. the picture is wrong. if they don't offer it, then it shouldnt have it.

    that's wrong advertising.

however, there are cases where if you wait a little longer, hp will begin to incorporate it into the notebook down the line.

honestly the fingerprint reader is a gimmick.

    HP's site is on crack.

They are listing the DV3 as having expansion port 3 yet if you look at the pictures it's not there....

I would guess it doesn't have the fingerprint reader though...try to customize it and in the 'Personalization' menu if it lists the fingerprint reader there than it is included, if it's not there then it's not...

They are most likely winding down the dv4tse since its still based on the previous dv4t design. Probably just clearing out inventory(same with the dv5tse) so there are some options which are missing that were offered previuosly.

So you think they're making a new model?

I think it's still a better buy without the fingerprint reader compared to the regular dv4t, because price-per-spec is cheaper with a 12-cell battery. I'll take any more comments or opinions on the model too. ;)

Yeah, the regular dv4t has already received the update. I dont know if there is going to be a special edition of the new dv4t but there is a good chance since they have doen it in the past with new models.
