    Hello everyone

    I see there's a thread sticky to the top here about this particular brand but I just had 2 really quick questions for owners of dv6t (I am in a hurry to get to class; I apologize for posting here!).

    1. How much battery life do you guys get on average (powersaver mode/dimmest LCD) with a 9-cell?

    2. Is the 6gb (2 DIMM) memory that HP advertises DDR3 1333mhz?

    Thank you and good day!

    1)no clue on powersaver mode/dimmest LCD, i never needed to lower it that much

    with hp recommended mode/brightest LCD i get about 7-8 hrs for normal usage (web/excel with background download/upload)

    2) yes they are micron (4gb) and samsung (2gb), both are 1333mhz.

    what about the 6gb ones? its 2 DIMMs so its 2 3gb sticks?

    Should I choose 6gb or 4gb? Its free upgrade to 6gb.

    3gb sticks dont exist in commercial laptops
    6gb = 4gb + 2gb.

    generally they exist as powers of 2 (2^0,1,2,3,4 = 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc...)
    2 = 1+1 (2 dimm) or 2+0 (1 dimm)
    4 = 2+2 (2 dimm) or 4+0 (1 dimm)
    6 = 4+2 (2 dimm)
    8 = 4+4 (2 dimm) or 8+0 (1 dimm)
    ...
    etc...

    should i choose that 6gb (4gb+2gb) or go with 4gb (2 dimm)?

    edit: yes i know which is why I was sort of confused @ them offering 6gb (2 dimm) lol.
