I'm looking to replace my HP nc8430 laptop. It seems that something may have jiggled loose in the adapter.

I've been looking on eBay, and there are a lot of AC adapters on there. I'm a little confused though. The AC adapter I have is 90W with a HP part number 384021-001. When searching on eBay, all of the AC adapters that indicate they are for a HP nc8430 are 65W adapters. Can I use a 65W adapter for the HP nc8430? Is this the right adapter?

Also, I found an adapter that has the same part number (384021-001) as the adapter that came with my computer and is a 90W adapter, but it doesn't say it's for a nc8430. Should this be the adapter I get?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

You need the 90W. 65W is usually for smaller laptops that aren't as power hungry
