I have a DV5-1155ee and a dv4000 which are completely of diff. specs.

Incase I didn't have the adapter nearby, is it ok If I use the dv4000 HP adapter on the DV5-1155ee?

Look at the input voltages on the transformer box (the black thing in the middle of the cord) if they are the same INPUT voltage and fit it should work. Dont blame if it doesnt though lol

The output voltages are the same and so are the wattage ratings. If the power plug will fit the laptop it would be all right to use. I suspect they are slightly different sizes or types.

Edit: Actually I just restated what "xps400mediacenter" said. I googled the power adapters and verified the voltage and power ratings are the same.
