I need to order a new power adapter for my dv6000t so that I won't have to carry the original one back and forth between my office and house. I saw this one on eBay and wondered if anyone new of a better deal or if I'm missing something with this bid: http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-Pavilion-dv2000-dv5000z-dv6000-New-AC-Power-Adapter_W0QQitemZ140083076708QQihZ004QQcategoryZ64471QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem.

He has 488 of them as of this post so if it's a good deal, there are plenty for all!

    Thanks.

My ac power adapter is fine. I just want to buy a second one so that I can leave one in my office and the other at my home so that I don't have to remember to carry the ac adapter from one place to the other.

When I had only one power adapter with my old notebook, I would at times forget to put it in my notebook bag and get to the other place and realize I had forgotten it. Having a second adapter is helpful.

I noticed that they are the 90W ones. If your lappy has the GMA950, then it has the 65W adapter (which is smaller & lighter). Just something to keep in mind if you will be lugging it around.

Mine has the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 GPU and comes with a 90W adapter. I am surprised at how small the original HP adapter is.

At any rate, is there any concern about adapters if you buy the right wattage, especially if it is supposed to be a replacement for the one that came with your system? This seller has a 99.9% feedback with 4874 responses. Obviously, he's legit.

The only question I have is that he sells about four different adapters which say they replace what the HP replacement number for mine is (394224-001). There's a little different price for each one and a dollar or two shipping difference among them. I wonder if some are older and larger than others and therefore cost a bit more to ship.

Here are the links to his HP replacement adapters:

I have no idea if these are different in any way or if he, for some unknown reason, is simply pricing them differently or if he has received different supplies of the same adapters that cost him different prices for each lot. Does it matter? Should any of these be okay? Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

They look to be just different revisions of the same thing, which I guess is normal. I ordered a new adapter from HP a few days after I bought the lappy, and the replacement had different numbers on it than the original. Apparently, HP has the same amount of varied units as that guy. lol
