i am having AC power adapter issues. I think the ac adapter is going out. it wont charge the lappy. i replace the DC power jack so i know its not taht. when i plug in the AC adapter, you can hear clicking sounds in the rectangle box of the adapter and thats when it wont charge. Then when i get the adapter to charge the laptop, there is NO clicking sound in the adapter. When it does do the clicking sound, my multimeter shows no voltage at the DC plug.

I'd try a new one. The other thing is that the conenctor on the notebook may have come loose or otherwise be damaged. A new adaptor is much cheaper and easier to fix, hopefully it's that.

Check techexcess.net for a replacement. Your power supply seems not stable and may generate fluctuating current that is bad for your laptop.

Does the laptop power on without the battery? If it does, it's unlikely that it's the AC-Adapter... could be the charging circuitry in the laptop.

If it doesn't power on(or sometimes it doesn't) without the battery, then yes, it's the AC-adapter that is the problem.

its the ac plug on the adapter. so when i plug it into the wall for power, you can hear it clicking but as soon as i mess with the plug tip(not plugged into lappy) it goes away. I have the 90degree plug
