Is it possible to change the AGP aperture size in the BIOS?

I have an old zx5000 and noticed i only had 74MB of free texture memory.

I've been looking, and I am not sure if HP has a restricted bios, but I could not find an option to change the agp aperture size.

Is this common for all HP notebooks? or does anyone know another way to change it?

I don't know for zx5000 but all newer models have the option to change the shared video memory (newer laptops use pci-express cards). In any case, it won't affect your gaming performance; some people have even reported deteriorated game play.

    HI Backbonez,

It depends on the BIOS and chipset you have. If it is adjustable from the BIOS it should be under the peripherals or video settings. Your apeture should be about 2X your video memory, depending on who you ask. IF you have enough ram that is a good rule if owever you are running 512 meg of sytem ram you might want to see if 64 eg or 128 meg of agp apeture runs good with your games.
