I can't find any BIOS setting for AHCI mode or IDE mode... how would I know what mode my dv6500t is in?

I'm upgrading to 120GB OCZ SSD and apparently need to be in IDE mode for upgrading firmware. Also, I'm interested knowing whether the dv6500t supports TRIM when running Win7... that needs AHCI mode, right?
