I have narrowed my notebook search down to 2.

They are basically the same notebook except for the Processor. Can someone tell me the pros and cons of both the AMD Athlon 64 and the Intel Pentium M and which one you would recommend overall? I would greatly appreciate it :)

The 2 notebooks I am considering are:

HP Pavilion zv6000 customizable Notebook PC
    – Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Professional for $29.99
    – AMD Athlon(TM) 64 4000+ (2.4GHz/1MB l2 Cache)
    – 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
    – 128MB ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory(TM)
    – 1.0GB DDR SDRAM (2x512MB)
    – 80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
    – DVD+/-RW/R & CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer Support
    – 54g(TM) Integ. Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN & Bluetooth
    – 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    – HP Mobile Remote Control

HP Pavilion dv4000 customizable Notebook PC
    – Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Professional for $29.99
    – Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor 770 (2.13 GHz)
    – 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
    – Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 900
    – 1.0GB DDR SDRAM (2x512MB)
    – 80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
    – DVD+/-RW/R & CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer Support
    – 54g(TM) Integ. Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN & Bluetooth
    – 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    – HP Mobile Remote Control

    Thank you!

Not only the processor, but the GPU's are different also, the GPU in the ZV6000 is better. The DV4000 will get better battery life and is lighter. You'll see better gaming performance in the ZV6000. It all depends on your needs, if you won't be playing any games, then go with the DV4000, much more mobile.

zv6000. 64-bit capable CPU, way better GPU, no Intel marketing tax.

I see an infrared on my zv6k and the configuration cost $50 less than if I'd gotten the same in the r4k.
