Laptop model is underneath the computer in a sticker, next to the serial number. They could be placed under the battery.
Mainboard model number is usually on a sticker next to the ram slots.

HP uses models like 123123-001 for the motherboard. A program does not reveal that.

E2-1800 sounds like a cpu that's usually soldered on the motherboard. That's why I'd like to know either the exact model for the laptop or motherboard, so I could find a proper service manual or pictures of the motherboard.

So far I've found one possibility, HP Pavilion g6-2240, that according to my googleFu has E2-1800.

If I found a correct service manual (page 22), then your motherboard number would be one of these:
    697230-601
    697230-501
    697230-001
and all of them are soldered CPU's.

So if you wanted to replace CPU with a better one, you would also need to replace motherboard with one that takes a better CPU. Luckily they are also listed in that manual. Can't choose motherboard from too different laptop model because then ports and screws might not align correctly.

Here, you said the truth. BGA means the CPU is soldered to the mobo, however...

Got ninja'd but I did find one mobo that may fit:
    683031-501
It's for the Pavilion G6 with A-series APU (which is socketed), but the screw holes and port locations are the same.
You'll need an A-series APU (e.g. A8-4500M, A10-4600M) and a new heatsink, I doubt the original heatsink can cool the A8/A10 sufficiently.
