    Hi everyone,
I'm about to order an HP today, with the 30% coupon off. I just can't make up my mind between the TL - 60 and the T7500. So if everyone here can give me some idea, I will appreciate it.

    thanks in advance.

You'll see better performance, better power savings, and lower heat from an Intel-based notebook.

    So, I suggest Intel.

If everything else is equal, get the Intel chip.

Thanks guys. the price is just $40 different. The only thing that I don't understand is the AMD has the FSB 1600 and integrated memory vs the L2 Cache in intel. I just want to know how will those compare to each other. But I take your word and go with the Intel

    Thanks again

The intel is still faster , Id go for the intel as it has a lot less heat issues ect to the AMD ...

The new AMD TL-58 and greater codename Tyler is 65nm and only consumes 31W of power. It's pretty much the same as the Intel's, hence heat.
Intel's has more L2 cache, but AMD has more L1 cache which I think would bring AMD back to the race. Again, it depends on what kind of apps you run that you're gonna choose b/w AMD and Intel.

I just hate the fact that ppl screaming Intel over AMD. I don't know if they really consider these before they say anything ...

No, the 31W figure is TDP - or maximum amount of heat a notebook should be built for to house this CPU. It has nothing to do with power consumption.

It's because Intel's Core 2 Duos are infact faster and run cooler than the equivalently clocked Turions. Maybe this will change as each company releases it's new line-up, but right now, Intel is on top. We're not screaming "fanboys" here, we just relay the truth, though I do second the fact that for most tasks, the Turions are more than sufficient.

If you're going to buy Intel, I strongly recommend upgrading to a NVIDIA or ATI video card. For AMD the integrated NVIDIA and ATI chipsets are pretty good so upgrading to a dedicated memory video card is less important (though still a good idea, if you don't mind the expense and battery life hit).

I noticed this with a friend of mine. He tried to order a laptop the other day with his debit card (I am guessing since you are saying that your money is on hold you probably used your debit card) and HP declined the order. Funny thing is that he asked me to use my debit card which is from the same bank and it worked. Go figure!

God, I called them 3 times today and they just didn't give me the reason why they declined my order.

Maybe it declined because they want you to stick with AMD cpu instead of Intel? :D
