AMD's drivers don't work even with switchable graphics disabled, right?

I just noticed that HP's updated the BIOS of the various Envy (also Pavilion?) systems to let you only use the real GPU, which is how I'd run it.

Does that also allow AMD's unmodified drivers to install? I'd assume the answer is "no", or I'd have heard the issue is fixed, but I thought I'd ask!

Right now I'd by the all AMD system to get around the issue, though the Envys are nifty too if you can install normal drivers now...

At the moment, only the workaround might work even for newer model that recently released.

There been some reports people unable to use the workaround with their latest HP AMD driver but reverting to an older HP AMD driver did the trick.
