    Hi,

after installing Vista on my HP n8430 I have noticed a significant drop in battery life over XP - around 2h with doing nothing on the NB. I think I found the reason for it: the ATI's Powerplay.

When I enable it in CCC and configure to "Maximum Battery Life", it only slows the GPU to 392MHz and memory to 252MHz. Which is the same for "Balanced" option. Moreover I think the switching between battery and AC profiles does not work properly. Is there any fix for it. I use latest desktop drivers and CCC modded by MobilityDotNet tool.

I also tried to use Notebook Hw Control tool, but there the ATI Powerplay options are grayed. With only ATI Tray tools I was able to down step the GPU clock, but I was unable to use profiles for automatic switching between battery and AC.
