Hello, I just received my Envy 14 Beats Edition in the mail. I checked under Device Manager and it has the Radeon 6630M graphics card. I know how to access the switchable graphics menu and I installed Minecraft and Deus Ex. I set both programs on High Performance but it didn't look like it did anything, it still feels like it's using the Intel HD Graphics. I haven't installed any new drivers or anything, ideas?

2 areas to do it
1- BIOS startup press f2 to enter BIOS and change graphics to FIXED MODE
2- ATI CCC panel select high performance -
I'm not seeing the fixed mode option in my BIOS, could you be more specific? Maybe my BIOS isn't up to date? When I tried to select update BIOS in the menu it said the BIOS image could not be read.
Also in the ATI CCC, I couldn't find which category I was suppose to find the high performance option. -
If you don't have the newest BIOS, update it... there's links in this forum and you can also get it straight from HP's support website too.
My own Envy 14 is getting repaired by HP, so I'm telling you this all from memory... lol sorry for being vague, just can't remember specifics (menu names, etc.).
