Hi Guys: I just bought HP DV2550SE recently. Today I was checking what I have in this laptop so I clicked system information. What I found out is that my graphics memory has only 10MB. Is it normal?? From BestBuy website it says Video memory is 256MB. I am not sure what it is. Would anyone explain for me? Thanks in advance.

What'S your graphic card? Is it integrated grahics?

yes, it is integrated one. Intel GMA X3100.

It's because when you checked it, you probably weren't doing anything intensive and thus the IGP only used 10 Mb of the system RAM. Since an IGP doesn't have any memory of its own, when it says that the card has 256 Mb RAM, what it actually means is that it can allocate a max of 256 RAM to the card.
