So I'm sitting at lunch with two of my friends, both with late-model thinkpads. They were comparing utilities to read info off the accelerometers in their laptops. I have my nc8430 which apparently has such an accelerometer in it.
Does anyone know of some utility or software that can read info off the accel. chip? I know Macbooks can install software that interprets a sharp tap to the laptop as a line return (a la a typewriter) and there's a linux one for thinkpads that require a secret knock pattern on the laptop to log in.

I'm not particularly looking for more functionality, I just was curious.
