Is it possible to add the bluetooth module to an nw8440 and where would you source one?

HP only seems to offer the bluetooth on the 2 most expensive pre-configured models with a $900+ premium.

Here's another thread about a member with a similar laptop doing the same. Yes, it should be possible and fairly easy.

However, according to this thread you would be better off sourcing that card directly from HP. You might have problems if you don't.

Try calling HP to get the part. According to the Service Manual for your laptop the spare part number is 398393-001. Page 106 of that same manual details how to replace (or add for that matter) the Bluetooth Module.
