Probably not. HP puts a "whitelist" in their BIOS that only allows one or two of their miniPCI WiFi cards and they don't include the internal antenna panels and cabling when they build a notebook without WiFi. You'd be better off buying a higher-end v2000z configuration that includes wireless. Don't neglect to check hp.com for how much a configure-to-order machine would cost, though you might not get it by Christmas at this point.

Agreed - there probably is a slot in there for the card, but if the notebook doesn't come already with the card, then you'll have very poor range.

The V2000Z is a nicer notebook as stated, and you get more performance for your dollar, due to the Sempron CPU (vs. the Celeron) and the Radeon Xpress 200M graphics, which aren't great to begin with, but a lot better than the V2000's GMA900.

I look at the Sempron coz it has Power Now (compared to Celeron, which intel cut off the speed step) and the laptop is just for web browsing and light document editing.
I recheck the spec again, it does not have productivity port (no firewire) which also kill the deal for me :p
To me the GMA 900 also is OK with me. No gaming anyway, strictly 2D :D
I wish there's sempron alternative for the Bestbuy 2403 model.
