Bought a 250 GB WD Scorpio drive today ($100) & was wondering when my caddy/connector assembly ($29) (forgot I needed that & the connector) comes in, will I run into a BIOS issue on my dv9225 with the notebook not recognizing the drive?

I remember when I bought a wireless N card the notebook would not boot because the N card was not recognized by the BIOS.

    Thanks.

My DV2637tx came standard with the WD Scorpio 250gb and since we have the same phoneix BIOS, it shouldnt have any compatibility problems

I just added a second drive to my dv9000t a while back, you wont have any problems. Windows should install the new hardware just fine. If you're running xp
you might have to go into your system32 folder and run the disk management utility to format the new drive. I would assume Vista behaves the same way.
