So I see that some people are getting cooling pads for their laptops and it is dramatically helping lower temperatures. It would be nice if I could extensively game on my lap or something with this laptop without worrying about it getting too hot, and it would open up some OC opportunities.

I saw some pads at Target today, they sold for around 20 bucks and seemed ok. Any brands I should specifically avoid? Anything I should specifically look for?

I have been looking around the net for cooling pads myself and i am wondering the same thing. I do not wish to spend to much on one, maybe $40-50 at the most is i would spend.

Search the archives here. There is a recent thread about the model that lets you place the fans anywhere on the grid/base. Great idea. About $25 at Amazon.com but I don't remember the name offhand.

coolermaster u2 would be the one to get for a 15", u3 for a 17"

the u2 has 3 fans and the u3 has 3 fans and is slightly larger
