    Hello guys,

I was contemplating on getting an exchange unit for my XPS 1330, or getting the dv2700t. More on it here.

Anyway, I am wondering if there is any issues with this particular model? I know there have been issues such as the webcam not turning on at times and the high-pitched noise from the processor. Any other issues? Should I go for this? My current XPS has a beautiful screen, I am hoping this too is good. I live in Malaysia, so if I get this machine, it has to be *hopefully* perfect because I wont be able to come back anytime soon to rectify any problems. HP in Malaysia is a bit fussy when you purchase laptops outside Malaysia.

Besides that, should I rather wait for Penryn? I cant wait long, I think longest I can wait is until June but it all depends if there is anyone from this side going over to the US.

My config would be as below:

    T7500 processor
    3GB RAM
    160GB Hard disk
    128MB nVidia Graphics Card
Webcam + Mic + Fingerprint reader
Intel 4965 draft-n card with Bluetooth
    Lightscribe DVD-Writer
    High Capacity 6 Cell Battery

Comes to about USD 1297.99, i can get a USD 100 educational discount thru my cousin who studies in the US.

Coming from a XPS M1330, I am looking at a machine that is reliable, stable and really really fast.

I would appreciate all comments and suggestions, in fact I have until the 11th to make a decision.

    Thank you all so much.
