Has anybody run into problems playing a dvd after downgrading from vista to xp pro. i have a DV6628US.
I recently downgraded and can't view the video. Sound comes through but no video. Initially, when I tried playing windows media player 11, it was complaining about codec. So I downloaded k-lite codec pack and it disappeared.
My device manager listing shows duplicates of the driver
Class: Display adapters
Device: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
--- Plug and play monitor

Any help would be much appreciated.

You should uninstall K-lite and install Ripp-it-after-me and Ripp-it-codec-pack to try if it solves the pb.
