Hi guys, I was overjoyed when I saw the frontpage news today on NBR with links to the new dvxxxx series product service manuals on the HP site, but then when I took a look at the dv6000 product description page, it only showed Intel's integrated DX10 solution... but no discrete DX10 option!!![]()

Then I thought to myself, "wait.. Nvidia hasn't even officially released the Go 8xxx series yet.. so why would HP say they have it as an option when it hasnt been released anyway." But still... we've all seen that notebook (by clevo i think) at CeBit with the go 8600 so that GPU definitely does exist...
Do you think that HP will wait until nvidia officially releases the go 8 series before they announce it as an option on their notebooks? Will HP even offer the go 8 series at all? (i seriously hope so)
Also, assuming that HP *does* update the dv refreshes in a few weeks to offer the go 8 series, will the cards be uber expensive? Or will the price ranges fall within the current range of the a go 7400 (about a $50 or $60 upgrade on the dv6000 customizable models from GMA950)?
Someone want to explain what is going on with the new dv series and the dedicated GPU's ??

They will make it, and they will probably leak it in their product manuals before it's 'official'. Most manufacturers fire off their integrated solutions immediately and then wait a while for discrete when new technologies and products emerge. Hopefully they won't keep us waiting too long.
I've been saving up for a new HP/Compaq. I'll ether go with the to-be-discontinued models in the Compaq line and grab up a $300 V6000 (like what happened when they got rid of the v2000z), or I'll blow all my money on a new GF 8 Go equipped DV6000T.
I'm wondering how nice the new DX10 integrated graphics will be on their models.
Ahhh... the new dv6000 refreshes aren't equipped with Go 8400/8600's ???
