As hard as it may be to believe (to HP consumer marketing) - I'm not a big fan of the shiny silver 'liquid metal' case on the HP dv5t. Possibly I'm in the minority, but I was just wondering whether HP would offer an all black version of the dv5t for the home user - and at the home user price? Possibly the idea isn't as silly as one might think since the great looking - but relatively expensive - HP business notebooks look almost identical to the dv5t - but with an all black case.

the one thing i don't like about my dv5t is the all glossy silver surface that smudges anywhere and everywhere. don't know if it being black would help that but it would still definitely look cooler.

thats a different design from the dv5 but i agree about the silver finish, it makes it look a bit cheap imo. i was personally going either with the hdx16 or the dv5 but the hdx looks alot sleeker still shiny but not as much chrome, check it out if budget isnt an issue.
