    Hey I just got my envy 14 in today and for some reason when I hit alt f4 it just makes a system sound? If I do it when I have a folder selected it toggles the show preview option

    I'm not sure if its some of the weird hp software that comes with the computer but I never heard of anything overriding system shortcuts. Anyways its just really annoying anyone have any idea how to fix this?

    and also what do you guys think of the hp software they pack these things full of, as of right now im just going thru uninstalling cuz half of it is garbage as far as i know

    thanks for ur help

    I also experienced that with the DV4T I returned and I was hoping that it wasn't the case with the E14...

    Does anyone have a fix for that? It was very annoying :(

    Assuming it's the same as the other envies you might need to go into the bios and turn off Action keys mode (disable it)

    fn + alt + f4.

    doesnt hp function key defaut as the Secondary function key?

    what i mean is that you dont have to hit the fn key to toggle hp fuctions such as volume, brigthness, etc.

    so you have to hit fn to toggle windows function keys.

    im guessing here :D
