    Altec lansing speaker making noise dv2046tu

    Hi guys! I just purchased hp dv2046tu notebook few months back and since then iam getting a strange grainy noise from left side of the speaker. i'have tried playing different sort of musc and still tyhe noise is grainy and irritating sometimes. even when i shutdown aand startup the windows music is also grainy as if the speaker is torn or something.

    Do u guys have any issue like this. and what could be done? coz i have done email support all they say it try using other music format which i have already done and they say reinstall driver which i thing e support guys dont have any clue whats going on.

    SO guys please help me in this. and if i get it replaced they will be me refurbished one which i dont want. is there any cure to this speaker noise problem?

    no1 can help cuz it is not a very specific problem, could be the speakers, could be the wires but either way these would require you to open the laptop up and u really shud just get someone to actually look at it.

    Just update the driver, or reinstall the current one if no newer driver exists, after doing so call back support. Once they run out of ideas they will, since you should be under warranty still, fix the problem.

    Also, even if you do get refurbished ones that work this will surely be better than the current speakers which do not work, right?
