This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Alternative Alps drivers?

    My DV2700 has the horrible Alps touchpad (AUI1500 Alps 2-way), does anyone know if there are any updated or possibly drivers from another brand that will work?

    I have the newest one available from HP but its from 11/2007 and my tap to click fails randomly.

    I used to use the apoint.exe and apntex.exe from a dell alps touch pad, the drivers didn't work but I was able to swap the exe files for it and it was marginally more stable. I just don't remember which model had a similar alps touchpad.

    Will try the driver for the DV2t which has a 2-way driver, hope it works. :rolleyes:
