    Hello everyone,

ever since i changed the switchable graphics to dynamic and started using the amd radeon 7690 thats in my dv6qe my screens goes black and then recovers fast and says "amd display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered" and other times my computer freezes for a while and it will recover or i will have to eventually force shutdown... any advice would be a great help!

Have you tried completely removing the driver before you install the new one?

Of course it is the problem with GPU drivers, and you did not follow exact same steps to uninstall old drivers first, that's why you couldn't install 8.95.5.

Is it better to uninstall the drivers or use Drive sweeper?

Both of them. First, uninstall through control panel, then driver sweeper.

Posting the guide one more time:

I actually am having problems OC the GPU with the stock HP drivers, it's apparently a problem. Even if I overclock it by 5 MHz I BSOD. Should I just install Catalyst 12.4 from the AMD website then the drive that you provided then?

    Hi everyone!

I've an HP dv6 with the ATI HD 6770M with the 8.882.3000 driver ('latest' driver from HP's website).

I've noticed that most games -occasionally- crashes in dx11 mode (like Saints Row 3, Dragon Age II, Deus Ex HR).
Some other games, maybe with dx9, work fine (like Just Cause 2, Starcraft 2, Diablo III, even Dragon Age II in dx9 mode seems to run without crash).

    Is this a driver problem?

what's the best driver for this gpu? And, how can i install it?

Will HP provide us new drivers?

    Thanks :)

Nobody bothers to search in forums a little bit... Download other drivers, not old HP ones. The most popular drivers are leshcat's 12.2 and official AMD 8.95.5. How to install, search in forums.
