I am currently searching for a notebook and cannot decide whether to go with the R3000Z or a different model. This system will be used for atleast 3years and I would like for it to be able to play some games. Considering that the system will be used for that length of time, the right choice would seem to be a 64 bit chip, since they are the future but how far away is that future. And with a 64bit chip, am I going to see any performance gains in real life and not just in benchmarks?

I was also wondering if anyone can tell me what the performance of the 64 is like compared to an athlon xp-m, p4 or pentium M.

The R3000Z is what I currently prefer but I doubt the GPU it comes with will last a few more years, so will it really matter if I get an amd64 or a P4 model? any suggestions?

I just got my R3000z yesterday and I love it. Yeah the vid. card is kinda weak, but Im not much of a pc gamer anyway(I play games like The Sims, Sim City etc.)I got the 3200+ and it seems like a really strong CPU.
