American HP care packs (warrantee)

I live in Holland, and I just found out that HP here
doesnt sell extended warrantees to imported products.

The salesman told me to contact HP America to seal the deal.
Now figuring that it almost took me 15 minutes to get in touch with the sales department here.. I wont even dare to try and call the one across the Atlantic ocean.

My question is:

Where to find the appropriate American HP Care pack for my dv6t? (Maybe some site online?)


Has anyone done this before? Bought a Care pack a while after purchasing the notebook?

Any help is much appreciated.

But be warned though with their consumer systems the HP warranty(standard or care pack) may or may not be honored outside the US. In any case, HP allow customers to purchase extended warranties for up to 1yr/ end of the standard warranty from the date of purchase of the system.

 

Thanks! I'll look into it some more before buying it then.
Its gonna be a real hassle figuring out how to get the Care-pack shipped to Holland too.
