Dunno whether it's just me but my HP nc6320's screen has developed a new odd issue.

It's like a faint white dead pixel patch (about 4-6 pixels), but you can only see it from off centre horizontal angles. Look straight on, you won't see it. Never noticed it before and I've had the laptop over three months now.

This adds to the side light leakage, a single pixel that doesn't seem to know whether it's stuck, dead or what it is, a touch of blotchyness. Plus some yellowing effect down at the bottom which can be seen on full screen video or when you bring up the All Programs menu (thankfully you can't see with XPs blue taskbar).

My machine has already had two repairs, defective bluetooth and an attempt to fix a freezing issue (failed). Do you guys think I should try to get a new screen or just put this laptop down as a lemon and try something else?

I've read on site about massaging stuck pixels I've never done it but from that description think I understand. If it still freezes on you sounds like real problem, will they exchange?

As I've said since a guy phoned up offering over the phone troubleshooting for the freezing issue I've heard nothing. They've never offered a replacement. Perhaps an issue is that I'm in effect the second owner, as the machine was an unused return sold by a computer company on ebay. Warranty was registered in Jan 07, I took ownership in early April. Possibly my mistake for buying a laptop on ebay but we live and learn.

Anyway here's a shot of part of the screen, at an approx 90 degree angle with black background, it gives an idea of a couple of the larger blotches.

The one on the right is where this latest issue has appeared..I may have made the blotch worse my massaging the area. But saying that the one to the left certainly has nothing to do with me. I've only ever cleaned with a slightly damp microfibre cloth or tissue, so nothing harsh or chemical has been used.
