We use the Compaq nc8000 in our recovery room, and the laptop covers they have gotten us are terrible - trying to see through the glare of the shiny surfaces to type is a GIGANTIC pain.

Can anyone suggest a source of a matte finish laptop (keyboard) cover?!!? Do they even exist!!?

    Thanks :)

Are you talking about some type of plastic cover to put over the keyboard to protect it from things like spills, etc? I'm guessing by "recovery room" you mean in something like a hospital? Maybe this is a sanitary/medical thing? You really need to provide more details.

Well, spills are a potential threat to the motherboard, but primarily the keyboards need to be covered for infection control - they need to be wiped down in between cases (yes,it is a hospital). The current covers are custom fit polyurethane - they have quite an irritating level of glare - as soon as the overhead lights are turned on,there's no escaping it.

With this and the glare from the screen....well, these laptops are just a joy to work with!
