    Any difference: R3000T dedicated and HP Zx5000?

    There doesn't seem to be any difference, yet the R3000T is about $100 more expensive. What is the difference between these two systems?

    I guess there's more of a cosmetic difference. The Compaq's are Silver and the HP's are black. They're built on the same platform (systemboard, LCD, etc...) so generally they're the same unit if you config them the same. I've heard from some on this site that the ZX speakers sound better than the R's. One possibly difference could be that the Compaq has a USB memory drive included (a USB adapter that uses SD memory which becomes a USB pen drive).

    yeah the only difference that there really is in the configuration is the speakers and cosmetic. Some people prefer the more squarish look of the compaq, but from hearing the two side by side the hp speakers, were definetly much better.
