dv7tqe appears to be the coolest high performance HP notebook ever, and the dv6tqe doesn't seem to be far behind.

6770m is exceeding all expectations. Beats an Nvidia 555m at stock clock frequencies, and nips at the heels of a 460m when overclocked. Is 40+ frames per second on Crysis 2 at 1366x768 with high settings good enough for you?

Right now, you can get it for $800 with the 6770M. I wouldn't care about the lower screen resolution if it costs $500 less than all competing notebooks :p

Heck, get an i7 with 8GB RAM, or get an SSD. it's the best deal so far, until the coupons end.

Besides, on a 15.6" screen, 1366x768 is pretty standard. I'd rather have that than a tiny-to-read 1080p screen. There are external monitors for that >.>

It's not just the resolution, but also the screen's viewing angles and colors. Unless you're in the "sweet spot", the screen looks washed out or too dark. That sweet spot is miniscule. It's solidly built with nice specs and runs cool but that screen is just so bad. As for sound quality, it is above average but there is absolutely no bass unlike a lot of entertainment laptops so I guess that puts it down to average.

I would like to read a good review asap since some are already available in my country and i need to buy this week.
On owner's lounge, most of the time the discussion is about delays, discounts, etc..
    Any video reviews?
Where did you read the screen is bad?

    dude.
    the screen is not BAD.
    Define BAD.

    it is an AVERAGE screen,

while compared with a FHD screen, such as the XPS 15's, yes, it is worse, washed out, smaller sweet spot.

but it is not BAD, but the XPS 15's screen is very NICE.

    got it?

Feels like unbalenced, and makes me study modding screen. oh yes.

Maybe compared to the internals of the machine, the screen might be bad. But compared to other notebook screens it is average.

I'd rather game at good framerates on a mediocre screen than watch a slideshow on a beautiful one.

I went to a local store to try it.
To me it's an normal screen like many other 15.6 i owned or tried.
    On most 14" and 15.6" laptops i checked the majority are 1366 x 768.
If this is bad then asus n53sv screen is also bad.

Forums were created to complain and I want a 22' fold-out 2,800 x 2,100 screen that is so good my eyes bleed from the god-like wonders presented before me.
