    Any guide about Vista reinstallation?

    reinstall a clean version of vista

    backup recovery.....reinstall os.....hardware driver,....

    In all, no darn trashware.

    Could I use the XP reinstallation guide for vista?

    If you have a copy of the Vista install disc, then you're good to go. Just follow the XP guide.

    Since HP doesn't provide us with discs minus bloatware, you're really stuck into purchasing another copy. If I were you I'd just get a retail version (or upgrade version) and not an OEM version, and use that copy forever and ever.

    Night is right, thats the only way to get a truely clean install, the only downside if that you would have to track down all the appropriate drivers for your system and have them handy for the upgrade/ install.

    o, no....why HP so inconsiderate. It can provide us a pure vista + hardware driver with lower prices. everyone will be happy then.

    Companies pay them to add the bloatware. Thats the reason they can affoard to give coupons out

    the HP that came preinstalled with XP has a different SwSetup than the Vista one tho, so reinstalling the drivers from the SwSetup is kinda hard. So inorder to reinstall the drivers would DL'ing it off from the website be easier? or does the website lack some drivers that only the SwSetup has?
