yes, on this HP page http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/globalcitizenship/environment/productdata/bamsdseng.html
there are several products listed that havent been released yet. i already asked HP, but no answer about them yet. neither found any information about them anywhere.

theyre certainly waiting till fall to release them with win7. i just hope the 8540p comes with the also at that time launched mobility radeon 5-series DirectX 11 GPUs.

Looks like there's going to be an update to the EliteBooks. Better not be 16:9.

Updates to the premium lines will not be generally available in the market till late November/December. Unfortunately, I believe they will be 16:9 with the new chicklet keyboard style. However, the brushed aluminium look will be maintained.

16:9?! on a business notebook.. dont understand that. 16:9 is only for watching movies. neither gaming nor office use can profit from a 16:9 display.

will they at least equip them (8540p) with the new dx11 gpus? it would also be a good idea to offer more than just one gpu (8510p 2600 & 8530p 3650) for the 85x0p series, like a performance one (5600) and a high-end one (5700-5800). it would fit into the 15'' notebook and make it an unbeatable business notebook with great gaming & home entertainment capabilities, that could easily compete with real gaming notebooks.

There already is. The performance graphics card will be in the workstation models.

a gaming radeon card? or a workstation firegl/quadro fx card?

among the mobility radeon cards the #600 (eg. mobility 4650) series belong to the performance class (desktop theyre mainstream), and #800 are enthusiast/high-end (desktop #700 are performance, #800 enthusiast/high-end).
