    Any news or HP Pavilion DV6/7 refresh

    Has anyone heard anything about HP updating or doing any kind of refresh for the HP Pavilion DV6/7 for the Holidays? I believe normally there is some type of refresh or update for the Holiday’s, However due to HP’s current PC division situation I am curious to know if they are going to do any type of updates.

    If I were to guess, I would bet there wouldn't be a lappy refresh until after Intel releases its follow-on to the current Sandy Bridge chipset, whenever that is.

    I have noticed a slight tweak in the current DV7 quads. The base CPU is now a i7-2670QM vs the i7-2630QM which was in the product 3 weeks ago (which I bought, ugh :) for what looks like the same price. I also notice there are a number of different quick ship models which are new since Sept.

    There is nothing changing behind the scenes with how HP is operating the PC division. We'll see if anything changes at all, especially with the new CEO.

    Don't know what the current sales are, but don't forget that HP's fiscal year ends Oct 31, which could mean something. maybe.
